The medieval castle is a remarkably detailed tour of the old town of Naxos, the largest island of the Cyclades. Last stop (Prombonas Distillery) with its main product, the unique citrus liqueur,is housed in a private area, 10 minutes from the city center. It is a family business of 105 years of continuous operation. The visit concerns all stages of production. It starts with an introduction over the qualities of the citrus fruit.Itcontinues with a small stroll in the citrus garden.Then the acquaintance with the distillery area. There are the distillation machines and at the same time objects of the company are exhibited, dating from the beginning of its operation. Visitors get to know the whole production production process up to bottling, which is carried out simultaneously in the area next door. The tour ands with a gastronomic tasting of products that in addition to citrus include ouzo, raki with citrus, rakomelo and wine. All drinks are accompanied by sweet and savory dishes!!
